2. Data processing inside the NamazMode app

2.1 Prayer time calculation (location data)

NamazMode calculates prayer times directly on your device using the local "Adhan Swift" library. Your location (or a manually set city) is used solely on-device for this calculation. The app has no backend and no server connection — location data is never transmitted to us or to any third party.

2.2 App selection via Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls)

To pause apps during prayer time, NamazMode uses Apple's native "Family Controls" / "Screen Time" frameworks. You choose which apps to block via Apple's FamilyActivityPicker. This selection is managed by Apple as opaque tokens — we, the developers, never learn which specific apps you selected. This data never leaves your device.

2.3 Locally stored app data

Settings (e.g. grace period, calculation method), your prayer confirmation history (streaks), and your monthly emergency-access counter are stored exclusively locally in an App Group on your device. This data is never transmitted to us and never stored on any external server.

2.4 Subscription payment (Apple / StoreKit)

Purchasing the Premium subscription (€1.49/month) happens entirely through Apple's in-app purchase system (StoreKit). Payment data (e.g. payment method, billing address) is processed exclusively by Apple — we have no access to or visibility into your payment data whatsoever. We only receive a technical confirmation of your subscription status from Apple so the app can unlock Premium features. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

2.5 No analytics or tracking tools

NamazMode does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. There is no profiling and no usage data is transmitted to us or to any third party.

3. Data processing on this website

This website is hosted by an external hosting provider (Strato AG). When you visit the site, the hosting provider technically processes server log data (e.g. IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser type) to keep the site running securely. This data is only kept for as long as technically necessary and is not combined with any other data source. This website itself does not set cookies and uses no tracking tools.

4. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
• Rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
• Request erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
• Restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
• Object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
